Job Summary
Come join Rutland Vermont's longest running pizza and pasta shop. We are looking for a hard working reliable dishwasher nightly from 430PM to 830PM 5 nights per week Wednesday through Sunday. Solid attendance history is a must. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and surrounding areas to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and resetting dining areas promptly during service
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely availability of clean items for food service and catering events
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including waste disposal and recycling efforts
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with basic cleaning protocols and food handling safety standards is advantageous
- Experience with banquet or catering setups is a plus, demonstrating ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
- Previous kitchen or hotel experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment
