Ritz Safety is dedicated to providing convenient and cost-effective safety products and solutions to all people and industries, worldwide. With seventeen nationwide locations, we are looking to add a District Manager to our Tampa, Florida location. The role of the District Manager is to ensure smooth and efficient operations to promote growth of their location. The role requires strong verbal and written communication skills in order to provide leadership and direction to their team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for the overall performance of assigned location. Ensures the location meets or exceeds the annual sales and profit forecast.
- Provides guidance and direction to all location employees including sales staff, clerical support staff and warehouse staff.
- Monitors new business developments and increased revenue from Account Managers. Follows-up on YTD losers in revenue for explanations and feedback.
- Represents Ritz Safety in a district capacity to maintain, support, qualify and influence existing customers or new business opportunities to assure the district and customer accounts are retained, developed and supported.
- Create communication/accountability with decision making authorities to promote and develop Ritz Safety product/sales opportunities for sales.
- Collaborates with field service, internal departments and sales force to effectively support, maintain and retain customer accounts through effective account management, service and support.
- Assists in the planning of volume and expense forecasts for the Fiscal Year Operating Budget. Responsible for meeting budget objectives.
- Communicates with Regional Manager progress and problems of all personnel and programs that affect the operation of the district.
- Learns and understands Ritz Safety's full product offering to effectively explain and demonstrate product features, advantages, and benefits, and build value proposition for the customer.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains and refines database of customers, contacts, and prospective customers.
- Communicates effectively with Regional Manager any challenges, successes and needs.
- Stays up-to-date on Ritz Safety’s capabilities, products, services and/or changes to support customer needs.
- Stays up-to-date on sales skills, professional knowledge and self-training to maximize professional growth and advancement.
- Responsible for fully staffed team – direct hiring and termination authority.
- Stays up-to-date on Ritz Safety's capabilities, services and/or company changes to support customer needs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/GED - Applicable Bachelors Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years experience in a District or General Manager role.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build, grow and inspire individuals and teams.
- 2-3 years experience in Sales Account Executive or customer account/sales role.
- Strong, proven demonstrable understanding of the sales process.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in use of computers and software (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, CRM Software, etc.).
