North Central Door Co is a fun and family-oriented company nestled into the beautiful northwoods of Minnesota. Check us out! This shift (after training) will be a second shift position and enjoys a $2.00/hr night differential. This position works Monday through Thursday with a 3-day weekend.
A 2-year diploma in a mechanical maintenance field along with one year of experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred. Applicants must possess a knowledge of industrial maintenance. Applicants must have the ability to effectively communicate with production leadership and staff using verbal and written techniques. Basic computer skills are required as well as the ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and 130 lbs. occasionally.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Experience in the use of hand tools, power tools, measuring devices and stationary power tools such as a band saw and drill press.
- Experience in the use of welding and fabrication equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections of machinery and equipment and document findings to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, failures, or malfunctions in machinery and equipment using troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Carry out maintenance, repair, and replacement of machine parts as needed to correct malfunctions.
- Ability and willingness to work alongside other team members on process improvement projects such as new machine design and construction, making improvements to existing machinery and in the installation of new equipment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to comply with all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Ability to document all maintenance and repair work performed using written skills and computer applications to communicate information to leadership and other team members.
- Use of the CMMS computer system to write work order requests and to access the spare parts inventory.
- Ability to communicate well with other department leadership and staff.

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
