Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop tailored massage plans
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, to address specific muscle tensions and pain points
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate treatment plans for ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical staff when necessary to optimize patient outcomes
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and relevant medical terminology to continually enhance your skills
Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist, preferably with med spa or occupational health background
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health
- Hands-on expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess individual needs accurately
- Familiarity with patient assessment procedures and customer service principles
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes client satisfaction and safety
