We are seeking an organized, driven, and relationship-focused Property Manager to join our team and oversee a portfolio of residential and commercial properties in Asbury Park and Jersey City, New Jersey.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Executive Property Manager, the Property Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day operations, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and overall performance of a growing portfolio. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of residential and commercial properties throughout Asbury Park and Jersey City
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants and residents
- Coordinate maintenance requests, capital improvement projects, and preventative maintenance programs
- Work closely with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and quality completion of work
- Negotiate lease renewals and assist with tenant retention efforts
- Conduct property inspections and identify opportunities to improve building performance and resident satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with applicable landlord-tenant regulations and company policies
- Assist with budgeting, project planning, and operational reporting
- Address tenant concerns professionally and work toward practical solutions
- Maintain high standards of property appearance, safety, and functionality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management, real estate operations, facilities management, or a related field
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience working with vendors and contractors
- Knowledge of residential and commercial property operations
- Familiarity with New Jersey landlord-tenant laws is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- NJ Real Estate Salesperson License
