Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare professionals with diagnostic testing, patient monitoring, and treatment procedures while ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations. Duties
- Prepare and operate medical equipment for diagnostic tests, including blood analysis, imaging, or other laboratory procedures.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and treatment procedures with precision and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) by documenting test results, patient information, and procedural details efficiently.
- Ensure all medical instruments and devices are properly sterilized, calibrated, and maintained according to safety standards.
- Support hyperbaric medicine treatments by monitoring patients in pressurized environments and ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Administer basic life support (BLS) and CPR when necessary to stabilize patients in emergency situations.
- Educate patients on procedures, post-treatment care, and safety protocols to promote understanding and comfort.
- Follow strict safety guidelines to prevent contamination or infection risks within clinical settings.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Medical Technician or in a related healthcare support role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology essential for accurate documentation and communication within clinical teams.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required; additional certifications in hyperbaric medicine are advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems to ensure precise record-keeping.
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing protocols, and medical equipment operation.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow complex instructions accurately.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and educating patients effectively.
