Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for our client in Cary, NC. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in senior care, disability support, or home health services, especially those with Asian cultural experience. The caregiver will assist with daily activities, monitor health and safety, and ensure a comfortable, respectful environment. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and medication reminders
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices
- Maintain detailed care plans and document patient progress accurately
- Engage in patient communication to promote emotional well-being and independence
- Perform light cleaning tasks to uphold a safe and hygienic living environment
- Assist with transportation for appointments or errands as needed
- Support clients with neurodevelopmental disorders, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or memory care needs with patience and understanding
Experience
- Prior experience working with seniors in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, and memory support techniques is essential
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities enhances your suitability for this role
- Familiarity with patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and care planning is required
- Hands-on experience using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration are vital
