Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards are maintained at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas as needed
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to optimize seating arrangements and wait times
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and perform basic math for billing purposes
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with sanitation standards and food industry regulations
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial
- Demonstrated ability in upselling and sales techniques to enhance guest experiences
- Basic math skills for cash handling and bill calculations; attention to detail is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving, bussing tables, host/hostess roles, or guest relations roles preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team in a hospitality setting
