Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician with State Inspection certification to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics using schematics, diagnostic tools, and advanced testing equipment to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Execute state inspections efficiently, ensuring all vehicles meet safety standards and compliance regulations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service techniques to repair or replace faulty components.
- Diagnose and repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features such as lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise control, and collision mitigation systems.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems on GM vehicles and other makes.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive automotive service technician background with a focus on vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and alignment procedures.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, welding techniques, and auto estimating is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with automotive schematics, diagnostic software, and electronic testing devices.
- Service technician experience in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes quality workmanship and customer interaction.
