Position Overview
As an Automotive Sales Professional, you will play a key role in helping customers find the right vehicle to fit their lifestyle and budget. This position combines strong customer service, product knowledge, communication skills, and sales ability to guide clients through the entire vehicle purchasing process.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers—from the first greeting through test drives, financing discussions, and final vehicle delivery—while creating a positive and transparent buying experience. This role also requires proactive outreach to customers and active participation in dealership marketing efforts, including social media.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in the showroom and on the lot
- Build rapport with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and budget
- Conduct professional vehicle presentations and walkarounds
- Stay up to date on all Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Kia models, features, trims, safety systems, and technology
- Recommend vehicles that best match the customer’s needs
- Conduct test drives and demonstrate key vehicle features
- Work with the finance team to present financing and leasing options
- Follow up with customer leads through phone calls, email, and CRM tools
- Make follow-up phone calls daily to engage customers and generate sales opportunities
- Guide customers through the complete sales process—from selection to delivery
- Assist customers after the sale with technology setup and service scheduling
- Participate in dealership marketing efforts including appearing in social media videos and creating posts to promote vehicles, specials, and events
- Meet monthly sales goals and customer satisfaction standards
- Maintain a professional appearance and a welcoming sales environment
Qualifications
- Automotive sales experience is preferred but not required — training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong phone communication skills and comfort speaking with customers throughout the day
- Comfortable making multiple phone calls daily for follow-up and prospecting
- Willingness to appear in social media videos and create social media posts promoting vehicles and dealership content
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and motivation to succeed
- Interest in automobiles and willingness to continuously learn about new models and technology
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable using computers, CRM systems, and mobile technology
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
