Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Observability Architect with deep expertise in Datadog to lead enterprise-wide observability initiatives across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and platform services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining observability architecture, establishing enterprise monitoring standards, implementing scalable Datadog solutions, driving platform governance, and enabling AI-driven operational intelligence.
This role requires strong architecture, consulting, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills to successfully lead large-scale enterprise observability transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and own the enterprise observability architecture, governance framework, and monitoring standards.
- Conduct enterprise monitoring and observability assessments to identify coverage gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Design and implement scalable Datadog monitoring solutions across:
- Infrastructure
- Applications
- Databases
- Middleware
- Networks
- Storage
- Backup systems
- Cloud platforms
- Collaboration platforms
- Build enterprise monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboarding, and reporting frameworks.
- Architect and implement Datadog capabilities including:
- Infrastructure Monitoring
- Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
- Log Management
- Distributed Tracing
- Database Monitoring (DBM)
- Network Performance Monitoring (NPM)
- Real User Monitoring (RUM)
- Synthetic Monitoring
- Drive enterprise observability adoption across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Integrate observability platforms with ITSM, AIOps, automation, and AI/GenAI solutions.
- Develop predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, and operational intelligence use cases.
- Optimize monitoring coverage, alert quality, platform performance, scalability, and observability costs.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, architectural guidance, and best practices to engineering and operations teams.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Monitoring and Observability.
- 6–7+ years of hands-on experience implementing and architecting Datadog solutions.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale observability transformation initiatives.
- Strong consulting, solution architecture, and stakeholder management experience.
