We're currently seeking a dedicated and organized Production Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in our production process.
Job Summary: As a Production Coordinator at Pittsburgh Laser Cutting, you will be a crucial part of our production team, responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of projects within established timelines and budgets. You will collaborate with various departments to oversee the production process, from purchasing, job planning, shipments, to invoicing, and play a pivotal role in streamlining our operations for improved productivity and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and manipulate parts using SolidWorks
- Collaborate closely with the production manager to plan and schedule production activities.
- Coordinate and maintain communication with different departments to guarantee the timely availability of materials and resources.
- Monitor production progress and proactively resolve any issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
- Assist in the development and management of production budgets.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation to ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials and supplies.
- Support in the recruitment and training of production staff as needed.
- Implement and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Foster a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Production Coordinator role or similar position.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in production software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A good understanding of safety and quality standards.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of production processes and best practices in laser cutting and metal fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the production process in a manufacturing setting
- Ensure that all production activities are carried out efficiently and according to quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary materials and supplies
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products
- Train and supervise production staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and production guidelines
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with a diverse team
