We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition using advanced automotive structural repair techniques, sheet metal work, and cosmetic refinishing. Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural alignment using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and body panels efficiently.
- Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs such as auto painting, auto body refinishing, airless paint spraying, and detailing to achieve a flawless finish.
- Fabricate custom sheet metal parts and perform fabrication repair techniques to match original specifications.
- Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision.
- Apply automotive dent repair skills and automotive parts installation knowledge to ensure vehicles meet safety and quality standards.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed, including basic mechanical repairs and auto restoration projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of power tools.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a dealership environment with hands-on auto body repair expertise.
- Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, and auto restoration techniques.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication using automotive welding equipment.
- Familiarity with sanding tools, auto painting processes, auto refinishing techniques, and automotive cosmetic repair methods.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto glass installation, and automotive parts installation.
- Experience with auto estimating processes and customer service skills for effective communication with clients.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other workshop equipment safely.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods.
