With over 25 years experience in the agricultural business Midwest Agri-Chemico, Inc. in Cape Girardeau, MO has an opening for a highly motivated Sales Representative.
The job’s main function would consist of generating sales for the company focused on commodities.
This is a full time position with benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with match and short term/long term disability insurance.
Compensation will be determined by relevant sales experience and knowledge of the agriculture field.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Agriculture, Ag Business, or related program (preferred)
- Requires at least 2 years experience in a fast paced sales position (preferably with agriculture background)
- Basic Computer skills/knowledge
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
- Ability to multi-tasking skills
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to upsell products to customers
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended hours and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the customer's business and develop strategies
- Engage and maintain relationships with team members and customers
- Create innovative solutions that not only support products and services, but lead to improving our current offerings.
- Follow company sales strategy and execution
- Work with transportation to ensure successful and timely delivery of products / service to customers according to their specifications.
- Generate sales for the company according to specified targets.
- Create a connection with customers to gain an understanding of their needs
- Manage complaints and conflicts with customers effectively.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit/stand for several hours a day.
- Must be able to use repetitive motions multiple times a day.
