Duties
- Safely operate box trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized vehicles for local and over-the-road (OTR) routes
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards
- Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) or dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks to verify vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues, fluid levels, and compliance with DOT regulations
- Document delivery receipts, logs, and incident reports accurately; maintain records of cargo handling, route details, and compliance documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during transit

Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on delivery driving and route driving
- Knowledge of refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tractor-trailers is preferred
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments
- Ability to load & unload cargo manually or with forklift equipment; experience with logistics cargo handling is advantageous
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving
- Skilled in manual transmission operation; comfortable handling manual handling tasks during loading/unloading processes
- Experience with automobile transportation or specialized freight such as hazardous or dangerous goods is a plus
- Excellent driving skills with a clean record; ability to operate both local delivery vehicles and over-the-road (OTR) routes safely and responsibly

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,400.00 per week
