Job Summary
The Will County Emergency Management Agency Preparedness, Planning, and Exercise Intern is a 12-week program that will assist in the design, development, and implementation of a corrective action tracking system used for emergency exercises and real-world incidents. This system will support compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives across emergency management operations. The intern will collaborate with county and state agencies to develop processes and workflows within Microsoft Teams, GIS platforms, or other approved systems to ensure corrective actions are assigned, monitored, and completed within established deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
Current undergraduate or graduate student preferred in: Emergency Management, Public Safety, GIS, or related field. Valid State of Illinois Driver’s License and minimum automobile insurance as required by law.
