We are seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman to lead residential framing crews on custom homes, production homes, additions, garages, decks, and covered porches throughout the St. Louis area. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-minded, and capable of managing projects from layout through completion while maintaining quality workmanship and production schedules.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise framing crew on residential construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and building plans
- Coordinate daily jobsite operations and material usage
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards
- Install floor systems, walls, beams, headers, trusses, roof systems, windows, and exterior doors
- Communicate with builders, project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors professionally
- Train and mentor crew members
- Maintain clean and safe jobsites
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and company standards
- Track progress and report updates to management
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of residential framing experience
- Previous foreman or crew leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage crews and maintain productivity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with custom homes and production framing
- Knowledge of layout and material takeoffs
- Experience operating telehandlers/lifts is a plus
