Primary Tasks and Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and psychosocial evaluations.
- Diagnose mental health conditions within the scope of licensure.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual (all age groups), family, couples, and/or group therapy.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Conduct crisis intervention and risk assessments for suicide, self-harm, or violence when necessary.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, social service agencies, and other professionals to coordinate care.
- Educate clients and families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available community resources.
- Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and continuing education to maintain professional competency.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines, licensing regulations, and HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
Skills
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, crisis management, and behavior management techniques.
- Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and geriatrics.
- Expertise in trauma-informed care including PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) management and grief counseling.
- Proficiency in telehealth therapy platforms along with experience delivering outpatient mental health services.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling principles and working with individuals experiencing substance use issues.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using clinical research methods while adhering to medical records standards.
- Skills in group therapy facilitation, social work practices, behavioral therapy techniques, and special education considerations for pediatric populations.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to mental health conditions; experience with inpatient settings is advantageous.
- Commitment to ethical practice standards including HIPAA compliance and clinical ethical guidelines; strong communication skills are essential for effective case management and patient engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current state licensure (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent) or eligibility for licensure.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and mental health assessment tools.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Pay: $45,500.00 - $70,000.00 per month
