- Able to pass Criminal/Background check, Consumer Employment Recommendation.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with behavioral clients
-Experience with G-tubes or Hoyer lifts
No CNA certification required

The work schedule will be assigned by supervisor. Work hours may vary to accommodate consumer and company needs.
Weekend Evening and Morning Shifts Available.
Duties are as follows:
- Ensure consumers are free of abuse, neglect and exploitation.
- Serve as an example, role model and advocate for the consumer
- Providing companionship and supportive listening
- Supervise consumer safety and security.
- Be active and supportive in community activities, social interaction, and in leisure activities
- Help in the development of social valued behaviors.
- Taking vitals, height, and weight
- Responding to emergency situations
- Administering medication
- Direct, teach, document and provide personal assistance with activities of daily living.
- Meal planning and preparation
- Secure and provide transportation as needed
- Assistance with housekeeping, ambulation and mobility.
- Ensure compliance with all CALAB, Wavier and THHS policies and procedures

Summary
As a Part Time Weekend Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential caregiving support to individuals in a group home or community setting. Reporting to the program manager, your role focuses on assisting clients with daily living activities, medication administration, and patient observation. Your core skills in caregiving, along with premium skills such as first aid and experience in assisted living, will ensure the well-being and comfort of those you support. Strong communication skills and a valid Texas driver's license are essential for this position, as you will engage with clients and facilitate their needs effectively.
