Job Overview
The Northwest Suburban Integration School District (NWSISD) is seeking a proactive, highly organized Office Manager/Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director and Joint Powers Board. Founded in 2001, NWSISD is a seven-district Joint Powers Collaborative focused on providing essential professional learning, Magnet Schools of Choice, and college and career readiness programming to close achievement and opportunity gaps.
The Role
District & Board Operations:
- Serves as the primary liaison between the Executive Director, member district staff, vendors, and the Joint Powers Board.
- Attends school board meetings, public hearings and/or other requested meetings.
- Manages board materials, agendas, meeting logistics, and official records/minutes in compliance with district requirements.
- Oversees facility requests, maintenance, purchasing, key issuance, IT/telecommunications coordination, and district vehicle scheduling.
Executive & Administrative Support:
- Manages calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and handling communications for the Executive Director and Board.
- Assists with HR support functions, including job description updates, open position advertisements, and interview coordination.
- Supports district initiatives such as the Magnet School Lottery, program data reports, and monthly budget tracking.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative or office management experience, including experience working effectively with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Technical Skills: Google Workspace skills, specifically Google Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Meet, and Gmail; Microsoft Office skills preferred.
- Other: Holds a valid driver’s license: willing/able to drive a district vehicle throughout our 7-district geographic area.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000 (negotiable based on experience)
- Contract Days: 220 (August - June)
- FTE: 0.75 (6 hours per day; generally 8:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m., with some flexibility in start and end times)
