Job Description: Restaurant Server
Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Server to join our restaurant team. The Server is responsible for creating a welcoming dining experience by providing excellent service, taking orders, answering questions about the menu, recommending food and drinks, and ensuring customer satisfaction from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm, friendly manner.
- Present menus, answer questions, and provide detailed information on menu items, specials, and beverages.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and ensure orders are accurate.
- Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and handle any concerns quickly.
- Process payments (cash, credit card, POS system) accurately and efficiently.
- Promote and upsell menu items, daily specials, and beverages to increase sales.
- Assist with table setup, cleaning, and resetting for the next guests.
- Work collaboratively with team members and support the overall operation of the restaurant.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean dining area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for handling payments.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. as needed.
- Move quickly and efficiently in a busy environment.
