Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Parish Administrator to join our vibrant community. Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations, including front desk duties, multi-line phone systems, and greeting visitors with warm professionalism.
- Oversee scheduling and calendar management for parish events, meetings, and community activities to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate event planning efforts from initial concept through logistics, vendor management, and post-event follow-up.
- Supervise administrative staff and volunteers, providing training & development opportunities to foster a motivated team environment.
- Handle bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll processing via QuickBooks, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage human resources functions such as employee records, onboarding procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain organized filing systems for parish documents, medical office management (if applicable), and other records ensuring easy retrieval.
- Oversee vendor relationships for supplies, maintenance services, and special event needs while negotiating contracts when necessary.
- Ensure effective communication within the parish community through newsletters, announcements, and social media updates.
- Support medical or health-related office management tasks if applicable to the parish’s needs.
Experience
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a church or nonprofit setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading teams or managing volunteers effectively.
- Strong background in bookkeeping, budgeting, payroll processing (preferably with QuickBooks), and vendor management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple calendars and schedules efficiently.
- Experience in event planning from conception to execution is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with human resources practices including onboarding, training & development is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.

Pay: $16.90 - $17.50 per hour
