Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Manager to lead our property management team and oversee the successful operation of residential communities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing property leasing, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Your leadership will drive customer satisfaction, optimize property performance, and foster a positive living environment for residents. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong background in property management tools and legal regulations.
Duties
- Oversee daily property operations, including leasing activities, rent collection, and tenant communication to ensure high occupancy rates and excellent customer service.
- Manage lease or rental agreement processes, including drafting, renewals, and terminations while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
- Supervise property staff, including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict management to maintain a motivated and efficient team.
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all health and safety standards.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite for data entry, reporting, financial tracking, and client communication.
- Administer budgeting processes, expense tracking, and financial reporting to maximize property profitability.
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), contracts, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of property leasing and tenant relations.
- Extensive knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, and related legal frameworks.
- Proficiency in property management tools such as Yardi, OneSite CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), Office Suite (Microsoft Office), and CRM systems.
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead staff effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with strong phone etiquette and client communication abilities.
- Experience in budgeting, contract negotiation, conflict resolution, upselling amenities or services, and facilities management.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in data entry, filing systems, legal administrative procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Florida CAM licensed is a must.
