10 Stars Property Management is hiring an experienced Residential Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our growing property management team. We are looking for a dependable, skilled, and motivated maintenance professional with strong experience in residential repairs, rental property maintenance, apartment maintenance, home renovations, punch-out work, and general handyman services.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well independently, and can complete a wide range of residential maintenance and repair tasks at occupied and vacant rental homes.
Responsibilities
- Complete general maintenance and repair work at occupied and vacant rental properties
- Perform common residential repairs including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, doors, locks, fixtures, cabinets, and minor appliance-related repairs
- Prepare rental homes for new tenants through punch-out repairs, make-ready repairs, and rent-ready maintenance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues and recommend proper repair solutions
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate clearly and professionally with tenants, vendors, supervisors, and property management staff
- Document completed repairs with notes and photos when required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area
- Assist with small renovation projects, turns, and general home maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in residential maintenance, handyman services, apartment maintenance, construction, remodeling, or renovation work required
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, flooring repair, fixture replacement, and general home maintenance
- Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently
- Property management maintenance or rental home maintenance experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Must have basic tools for common residential repair work
- Ability to lift, carry, move materials, and perform physical maintenance tasks as needed
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be dependable, professional, organized, and able to manage multiple work orders
- Leadership, crew supervision, or lead maintenance technician experience is a plus
