Availability to work Wednesday and Thursday Surgical Days
Preoperative/OR Circulating RN Responsibilities
1. Assesses patients prior to surgery (i.e. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns
2. Gather supplies needed for operation/procedure
3. Assist with controlled medication inventory management
4. Assume responsibility of keeping the operating room sterilized
5. Assist with positioning and preparing patient on operating room table
6. Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during the operation/procedure
7. Assist in delivery of patient to post operative phase
8. Adhere to safety standards and precautions
9. Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned
Qualifications:
1. Valid Florida RN License with no restrictions
2. IV Certification, minimum 6 months experience
3. BLS Certification
4. ACLS Certification
5. Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as an RN in a surgical or clinical setting
6. Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
7. Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
8. Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations
9. Attention to detail and ability to accurately document patient information
10. Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact others
11. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
