Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Copier Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of copier and multifunction printer equipment. Duties
- Perform on-site service and repairs on various copier, printer, and multifunction device models, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably.
- Troubleshoot software issues, hardware malfunctions, and network connectivity problems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Replace worn or defective parts using hand tools and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) components to restore equipment functionality.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and prevent future breakdowns.
- Collaborate with clients to identify issues, explain repair procedures, and provide recommendations for optimal device performance.
- Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and troubleshooting steps taken.
- Stay current with industry advancements in copier technology, software updates, and networking protocols to deliver cutting-edge service.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in copier or office equipment repair.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and computer networking principles relevant to multifunction devices.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and mechanical diagrams for troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge related to device components such as rollers, fusers, sensors, and paper handling mechanisms.
- Familiarity with IT concepts including network setup, IP configuration, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience working with OEM parts and understanding manufacturer specifications for equipment repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
