Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while handling cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
- Utilize reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize table turnover
- Demonstrate knowledge of wine pairing, cocktail recipes, and beverage service techniques to elevate the guest experience
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support overall restaurant operations during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, especially in fine dining environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
- Experience with cocktail making, wine knowledge, spirits, and beverage service highly desirable
- Hospitality or hospitality-related training is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
