Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling, product inquiries, and store needs
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Manage cash register operations, including cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end
- Upsell products and promote store specials through engaging product demos and friendly communication
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, guiding shoppers, and maintaining phone etiquette
- Assist with grocery or convenience store product knowledge to support customer needs and enhance sales
- Conduct basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and retail cash register operations
- Strong supervising or leadership experience preferred for team support roles
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales totals, discounts, and inventory counts
- Excellent communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are a plus
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos to boost sales opportunities
- Familiarity with grocery store or convenience store environments is advantageous
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly while ensuring accuracy in all transactions
