Job Title: Truck Driver
Reports To: Trucking Manager
Employment Status: Seasonal Full-Time
Job Summary
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of materials and equipment using truck and trailer combination units. This role includes loading, securing, delivering, and unloading materials in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate diesel-powered trucks and trailer combination units.
- Load, secure, transport, and deliver materials and equipment to job sites per customer orders.
- Use appropriate load-securing equipment including straps, chains, tarps, load locks, and protective coverings.
- Ensure timely deliveries while minimizing idle time to support operational efficiency and profitability.
- Prevent cross-contamination by keeping equipment clean and properly maintained.
- Perform required loading and unloading procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Report service delays, traffic violations, accidents, spills, property damage, or road hazards immediately.
- Maintain communication with dispatch throughout the workday.
- Accurately input load documents, fuel receipts, logs, notes, and defect reports into the app.
- Maintain assigned truck and trailer in a clean and safe condition.
- Follow company policies regarding conduct, professionalism, and safety.
- Practice good personal hygiene and always represent the company professionally.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned. When medically restricted, the employee may be assigned temporary light-duty tasks, such as shop cleaning or organization, that are not physically demanding and are consistent with approved work restrictions.

Position Requirements
Education
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to complete required documentation and comply with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Licensing & Certifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL, depending on equipment operated.
- Doubles/Triples endorsement as required by trailer configuration.
Experience
- At least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Physically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle per 49 CFR §391.41 and company policy.
- Strong working knowledge of truck and trailer combination units.
- Ability to perform minor roadside repairs when necessary.
- Knowledge of proper equipment maintenance in compliance with company policy and regulatory standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and remain alert for extended periods (up to 11 hours).
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to squat, stoop, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, climb, reach, lift, and balance as required.
- Ability to walk, kneel, crawl, or climb under, on, or in equipment for inspections.
- Ability to enter and exit the truck multiple times per day.
- Ability to hook and unhook trailers, including operating landing gear cranks.
- Ability to grasp and properly use hand tools.
Mental & Behavioral Requirements

- Ability to work until daily assignments are completed.
- Ability to remain alert and practice defensive driving for up to 11 hours per day.

Working Conditions
Environment
- Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, including inclement weather.
- Exposure to noise, vibration, heat, cold, dust, and other environmental factors.
- Irregular work schedules, tight delivery timelines, and potential delays due to traffic or weather.
Travel
- Overnight travel may be required (approximately 15–20 overnights per year).
Hours
- Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
- Approximately 50–65 hours per week during peak season.
- Position is considered seasonal full-time.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
