Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist in meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools through regular cleaning and sanitation
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure smooth operations
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient quality and preparation techniques
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is required
- Full open availability
- Bi-Lingual preferred
- Strong culinary skills with proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and knife techniques such as slicing and dicing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling regulations
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and correctly
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
