We are hiring CDL-A Local Truck Drivers for a dedicated live-haul operation transporting live turkeys from farms to a processing facility.
This position offers daily home time, automatic equipment, consistent local/regional routes, and no driver loading or unloading of the livestock.
Drivers will operate primarily within the local operating area, with farm pickups ranging from approximately 5 to 280 miles from the processing facility.

Job Responsibilities
As a CDL-A Local Driver, your primary responsibility will be transporting live turkey loads from farms to the processing facility safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities Include:
- Pick up live turkey loads from farms.
- Transport loads using live-haul trailers.
- Drive routes throughout the local operating area.
- Safely secure and transport the load.
- Return to the processing facility after the load is secured.
- Check in at the guard shack and follow delivery/drop instructions.
- Follow all DOT, safety and company requirements.
- Complete required live-haul safety training.
- Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork.
- Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate with dispatch and on-site management.
- Maintain a clean and safe tractor.
- Follow biosecurity and livestock-handling procedures.
Important:
Drivers are NOT responsible for loading or unloading the turkeys.
At the farm, the driver parks the tractor and is generally not required to exit the truck while the livestock is being loaded.

This is a local live-haul operation based in West Liberty, Iowa.
Farm pickups may range from approximately:
5 miles to 280 miles from the processing facility.
The normal operating area can extend up to approximately 280 miles from the facility, depending on the farm and load assignment.
Drivers may occasionally be required to run other loads or accounts in the area based on operational needs.

Driver RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of CDL-A driving experience
- Acceptable driving record
- Must meet applicable DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be able to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle
- Must be willing to work Sunday–Thursday
- Must be available for weekend work as required by the schedule
- Must be comfortable with early-morning and/or late-night driving
- Must be able to work around live livestock
- Must successfully complete required live-haul safety training
- Must be willing to occasionally operate alternate lanes or accounts when needed
Physical/Job Requirements
The driver must be able to safely perform the essential functions of a commercial driving position and comply with applicable DOT medical and safety requirements.
