HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Licensed Customs Broker is responsible for overseeing the efficient import and export process while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and other government agencies rules and regulations
This is a remote position.
EXPECTATIONS
· Guide customers through CBP requirements, resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner
· Prepare and submit entry documents, determine accurate HTS, tariff, and duty payments
· Track shipments through the entry process, ensuring all documents are complete and compliant
· Recommend routing and handling for imports and exports for customers and prospects
· Work closely with CBP and PGAs to resolve issues and secure release of goods
· Manage office operations as backup when needed
· Create process and work instructions
· Assign team duties and review/audit work for accuracy
· Work closely with sales to pursue new leads and work through client concerns
· Stay up to date on customs and company procedure changes
ESSENTIALS
· Licensed US Customs Broker (LCB) required
· 3+ years of customs brokerage industry experience
· High school diploma/GED required
· In depth experience with U.S. import entry process including HTS, COO, Valuation, PGAs, FTA, etc.
· Experience supervising a team of entry writers a plus
· Strong analytical skills and attention to accuracy
· Customer oriented with strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle large volumes of work
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
