Fortunato Properties is seeking an experienced Property Management Bookkeeper with strong AppFolio and QuickBooks Online experience to oversee the day-to-day accounting functions for our residential property management portfolio.
This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and work with the existing accounting and bookkeeping team to share tasks.
Additional points for HOA budget management experience.
This position is fluid and can be adjusted for the experience of the right applicant.
Responsibilities
- Co-manage accounting for a portfolio of approximately 420 residential properties and one 36-unit HOA
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Enter receipts, invoices, and vendor bills into AppFolio and QuickBooks
- Track maintenance expenses, remodeling project invoices, and work order billing between Appfolio and Quickbooks
- Create monthly invoices for key portfolios
- Maintain unbilled charges and labor reporting between AppFolio and QuickBooks
- Assist in paying and posting utilities
- Assist in cleaning escrow / charges
Qualifications
- 2+ years of AppFolio experience preferred
- Required: QuickBooks Online experience
- Property management bookkeeping experience required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
