Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment, ensuring a memorable breakfast experience for all guests. This role requires a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently during morning hours. Prior experience in food service, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings, is preferred but not mandatory. The Breakfast Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as XnProtel POS or Micros POS
- Serve breakfast items promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Handle cash transactions accurately with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation or bussing tables as needed to support smooth service flow
- Maintain sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Provide attentive guest relations, addressing any special requests or concerns promptly
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed during service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experience
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is a plus
- Host/hostess experience, serving, bussing, or nightclub background can be beneficial
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills are essential
