Laundry Attendant Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team at our 87-room hotel. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean, high-quality linens, towels, and other hotel textiles to support daily operations in a fast-paced environment that is frequently sold out. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently while maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.
When laundry demands permit, this position may also assist the housekeeping department with cleaning guest rooms, public areas, or other housekeeping duties to help ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, bedding, and other laundry according to brand standards.
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and remove items from service when necessary.
- Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens for guest rooms and housekeeping carts throughout each shift.
- Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.
- Transport linens throughout the hotel using carts while following proper lifting techniques.
- Monitor laundry supply inventory and notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
- Assist housekeeping with cleaning guest rooms during high occupancy or staffing needs.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of public areas, including hallways, lobby, breakfast area, restrooms, and other common spaces as assigned.
- Assist with other housekeeping-related duties as directed by management.
- Follow all hotel policies, brand standards, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing, walking, bending, and pushing carts for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as business demands require.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.

Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour
