United Escapes of America is looking to hire a Game Master to oversee the play of the rooms at our Lake Norman location. This is an escape room serving Cornelius, North Carolina, and surrounding areas.
Our ideal candidate is great around people and comfortable interacting with our Escapers. You should be fun and theatrical when needed - to help create that incredible guest experience - while remaining able to explain the rules earnestly.

What you’ll do:
- Greet and check in customers
- Explain the process and get customers comfortable with how it works
- Monitor from the control room and be able to inform customers of objectives and give helpful hints
- Join the customers after to take pictures and debrief
- Reset the room for the next customers, checking that everything is up and in working order (fixing locks and glow sticks)
- Basic cleaning of lobby, rooms, and bathroom
- Other tasks as deemed fit

In order to be successful in this role, a great candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable with using computers
- Reliable transportation
- Familiarity with the world of escape rooms (previous experience playing escape rooms is helpful but not necessary)
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- The ability to work hard while remaining positive and enthusiastic
- Weekend and evening availability, as well as a willingness to be on call
