Youth Services Coordinator
The Taylorville Public Library is seeking a Youth Services Coordinator
who has the ability to work well with the Library Director, the Assistant
Library Director, the Library staff, patrons and volunteers. The
responsibilities include to plan, publicize and evaluate children’s
programs, assist in selection of children’s and youth material, conduct
the Summer reading program, maintain programming initiatives and
have circulation duties while providing excellence in customer service to
all patrons. Training will be provided.
Position Requirements:
A high school diploma is required. An Associate’s degree or some
college hours or past library experience is preferred. Technology
knowledge and having detailed oriented work habits is preferred along
with the willingness to learn all aspects of the job. The job is thirty hours
a week with hours that are during the day with some evenings and
Saturdays. The salary range is $16.00 to $17.00 an hour depending on
qualifications of the applicant. Applications are available at the library
