This is a full-time, W2, long-term placement position. HCA offers health benefits, vacation, sick, holidays and much more.

7:30a - 3:30p with 30-minute lunch to total 37.5 hours per week.
Job Description
A Dental Laboratory Technician Assistant helps fabricate, finish, and organize dental
prosthetic work under the supervision of a licensed dental technician, ensuring accuracy,
cleanliness, and workflow efficiency.
Position Summary
A Dental Laboratory Technician Assistant supports the daily operations of a dental
laboratory by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, assisting in fabrication
processes, and ensuring that technicians have everything they need to produce precise
dental restorations. This role blends hands-on craftsmanship with attention to detail and
strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Model Preparation — Pour and trim dental stone models from impressions; label and
organize cases.
Material Handling — Measure, mix, and prepare acrylics, plasters, waxes, and other
materials.
Prosthetic Fabrication Support — Assist technicians with waxing, polishing, finishing, and
assembling dental appliances.
Equipment Maintenance — Clean, disinfect, and maintain tools, workstations, and
machinery.
Digital Workflow Assistance — Scan impressions, manage digital files, and support
CAD/CAM processes (if applicable).
Quality Control — Inspect materials and components for defects before technician review.
Inventory Management — Track supplies, restock materials, and receive shipments.
Case Organization — Log incoming cases, prepare outgoing cases, and maintain accurate
documentation.
Safety C Compliance — Follow OSHA, infection control, and laboratory safety protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications
THREE (3) REFERENCES WILL BE REQUIRED UPON ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATION
Manual Dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination.
Basic understanding of dental anatomy.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical procedures.
Comfort working with small tools and delicate materials.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Dental lab experience.
Willingness to learn CAD/CAM or digital dentistry systems in future.
Knowledge of dental materials such as zirconia, acrylic, and wax.
Basic computer skills for digital case management.
Work Environment
Fast-paced laboratory setting inside a Correctional setting.
Work involves sitting or standing for extended periods.
Frequent use of small tools, polishing wheels, and lab equipment.
Exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals (with proper PPE provided).
