Position Summary
Old Barnwell is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Housekeeping team on a part-time basis. As a Housekeeper, you will help ensure our guest rooms and public spaces consistently reflect the high standards of cleanliness and hospitality that our members and guests expect. Schedule
- Part-time/ Seasonal
- Flexible scheduling with shifts available Monday through Sunday
- Typical shift options include:
- 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Weekend availability is required
- Occasional holiday based on business needs
Essential Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas to Old Barnwell's quality standards.
- Clean and maintain lobbies, hallways, restrooms, lounges, locker rooms, and other common areas.
- Make beds, replenish linens, towels, and guest amenities.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas.
- Empty trash and recycling throughout the property.
- Restock housekeeping closets, carts, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
- Assist with deep-cleaning projects, including carpets, windows, furniture, and seasonal cleaning tasks.
- Inspect assigned areas to ensure they meet established cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Follow all housekeeping procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding maintenance concerns, supply needs, or guest requests.
- Provide friendly, courteous service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality around members and guests.
- Perform additional housekeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, hotel, or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and some holidays.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
Education & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
