Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
- Drive safely and responsibly while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies during route driving.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Manage delivery schedules by planning optimal routes for timely deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, load details, and mileage logs for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for the vehicle type
- Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery; familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Experience operating tractor-trailers and performing load & unload operations safely and efficiently.
- Ability to handle various types of freight and knowledge of proper securing techniques is essential.
- Proficiency in route driving with excellent navigation skills to optimize delivery times.
- Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and load handling
