Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dumper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating dumpers and other heavy machinery to facilitate the efficient movement of materials on construction sites or industrial locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with commercial driving experience and mechanical knowledge to contribute to ongoing projects.
Duties
- Operate dumper trucks and excavators safely and efficiently across various sites.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper distribution and placement.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery before use, reporting any faults or maintenance needs.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate logistics and material movement.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including hours worked and materials transported.
- Perform minor mechanical checks and basic troubleshooting when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating dumpers, excavators, or similar heavy machinery.
- Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to identify basic faults and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction or industrial sites.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when required.
- Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
