Position Summary
The Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered primary care across all age groups. This role focuses on preventive health, chronic disease management, and acute care, using a holistic approach to improve patient outcomes.
This is a hybrid position involving both hospital-based and outpatient clinical responsibilities. The physician is expected to see approximately 14–24 patients per day while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated care. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, or clinical staff as part of an academic or collaborative care environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and detailed medical histories

Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies

Diagnose medical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans

Provide patient education on preventive care, including screenings, immunizations, and lifestyle modifications

Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient medical records

Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and institutional policies

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration

Maintain knowledge of and comply with regulations related to infection control, patient safety, privacy, pain management, and opioid prescribing
Qualifications
Education & Certifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution

Board Certification in Family Medicine (required)

Active and unrestricted state medical license (required)

Valid DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances

Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)

Compliance with continuing medical education (CME) requirements
Experience

Prior clinical experience in family medicine, primary care, or a related setting preferred

Proven ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
