American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele/IMC float pool position requiring recent Epic experience and prior travel experience.

Work in the Float Pool covering Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units within a hospital setting
-
Float between MS units and IMC units as part of the assignment
-
Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
-
Care for patients with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, trauma and stroke
-
Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 18:30 to 07:00

Uses Epic charting system
-
Expect to work some holidays and weekends

Active RN license (State or Compact) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
-
Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience in a hospital setting required
-
Minimum 2 years of prior experience on an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit required
-
Recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a hospital setting required

Recent Epic EMR experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Flu shot required with no exceptions
-
2-step PPD test required with no exceptions
-
Provide nursing care to a complex patient population including cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and trauma cases while floating between MS and IMC units
-
Floating to IMC units is a required and firm expectation of this role
-
RTO requests must be submitted and approved prior to the start of the assignment
-
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible as a traveler, as locals are not accepted
-
Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after a 1-year extension before being eligible to return
-
Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
