About the Role
Are you a professional with a foundation in business operations who is tired of "dead-end" roles that lack a growth trajectory? At JLGOV LLC, we are looking for a Business Manager-in-the-making.
This is not a support role; it is a Structured 24-Month Pathway to Leadership. We are modernizing our back-office operations with cutting-edge AI tools, and we need someone to master these workflows, oversee our systems, and eventually take full ownership of our daily operations.
This role begins fully on-site to facilitate direct mentorship and side-by-side training with the CEO. After Year 1, the position transitions to a hybrid schedule (2–3 days on-site) to maintain operational continuity and leadership alignment.
The Requirements (Must-Haves)
To be successful in this leadership track, you must be a "Systems and Process Thinker" who sees a manual task and immediately looks for a smarter, tech-driven way to handle it.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a corporate, government, or professional office environment.
- Operational Proficiency: Functional experience handling bookkeeping (AP/AR, reconciliations) and HR administration (onboarding, compliance monitoring).
- Productivity: Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office, specially Excel
- Education: Associate's Degree in Business Management, Administration, or a related field.
- Tech-Savvy: You must be a " Knowledgeable User" excited to embrace AI tools to eliminate manual data entry and streamline processes.
- Compliance: Due to the nature of our financial and government contracting responsibilities, all candidates must successfully pass:

Your 24-Month Evolution
Phase 1: The Foundation (Months 1–6)
- Role: Business Operations Trainee, shadow Business Manage while learning how t rn the back office operations.
- The Mission: Learn the "Engine." You will be trained on our specific AI-integrated workflows and back-office systems from the ground up.
- The Daily: Managing vendor communications, supporting operational documentation, and executing core bookkeeping/HR tasks alongside the Business Manager.
- Comp: $20.00/hour | Benefits: Full Health eligibility after 3 months.
Phase 2: The Transition (Months 7–18)
- Role: Back Office Manager Trainee
- The Mission: Master the Workflow. You transition from learning the systems to managing them independently.
- The Daily: Serving as the primary liaison to outsourced providers, ensuring HR and contract compliance, and collaborating with developers to refine the AI tools you use daily.
- Comp: 10% Hourly Increase.
Phase 3: The Advancement (Months 19–24+)
- Role: Business Office Manager
- The Mission: Strategic Ownership. You have moved from executing tasks to driving operational excellence and contributing to firm-wide profitability.
- The Daily: As a strategic partner to senior leadership, you will use data and AI-driven insights to manage the company's financial health and HR operations.
- Comp: Transition to Salary + an additional 10% Increase (Market-aligned).
Compensation & Advancement Policy
At JLGOV LLC, we believe in transparency. This program provides a guaranteed 20% cumulative increase within the first two years: The fastest pay increase ever heard of.
- Fixed Progression: Raises are locked into the start of Phase 2 and Phase 3.
- Stability Period: Following the initial 20% investment, your base salary includes a stability period upon entering Phase 3.
