As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, delivering essential services that enhance quality of life while promoting dignity and respect.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning to promote healthy eating habits.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety during movement.
- Maintain detailed care plans and document all care activities, patient observations, and communication with healthcare teams in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community activities to foster social engagement and independence.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to support overall well-being.
Experience
- Prior experience working in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor patients’ vital signs and recognize signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition.
- Experience providing dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care or supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and first aid/CPR certification is essential for ensuring safety during emergencies.
- Familiarity with patient transfer methods such as manual handling techniques or Hoyer lifts is beneficial.
- Background working with seniors or individuals requiring long-term care supports your ability to deliver compassionate caregiving.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
