Overview:
We are seeking a religious leader to educate and inspire our entire community. Having a diverse and growing congregation, we are looking for someone who can lead a vibrant community and help us realize our potential. In addition to our masjid facility, we oversee a full-time Islamic school, a Sunday school, as well as a newly developed cemetery. We are seeking someone who has a vision for the future and has the passion to try to achieve it.
Essential duties:
-perform key functions of an imam (khutbas, prayers, services, etc)
-play an active role in community education (opportunities include Islamic school education, youth mentorship, adult learning, etc)
Requirements:
-a degree in Islamic studies (with a firm grounding in Fiqh)
-strong knowledge of the Quran and Arabic (including Tajweed and Tafseer)
-very fluent in English; native speaker preferred
-relates well to all people, including the youth
-team oriented
-U.S. citizen or permanent resident only (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship)
Compensation:
-compensation depends on experience, abilities, and assumed roles and responsibilities (less experienced candidates may choose to apply for an assistant imam/youth director position)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
