Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Lead Water Mitigation Technician to spearhead our water damage restoration and flood response efforts. In this vital role, you will lead a team of technicians to deliver top-tier water mitigation, mold remediation, fire restoration, and flood recovery services. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate water mitigation projects, including water extraction, drying, cleaning, and mold remediation efforts.
- Oversee the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water damage, flood restoration, fire damage, or mold issues, ensuring swift mobilization and effective action.
- Operate company vehicles and a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as Xactimate for estimating repairs.
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning and debris removal using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Train and mentor technicians on best practices for restoration processes, safety procedures, and customer service excellence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of job progress, materials used, safety compliance, and client interactions to ensure quality control and accountability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the restoration industry with a focus on water damage restoration, flood recovery, mold remediation, or fire restoration.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience supervising or leading a team of technicians.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection standards.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations with on-call coverage as needed; flexibility to work outside regular hours.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building structures during mitigation projects.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients during stressful situations.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, Xactimate estimating software, and other restoration equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles required.
