We are seeking a Part-time Pastor to join our MULTI-PASTOR team. Our Pastors are: Open, Loving; Caring; Welcoming; Affirming; Accepting; Supporting and always seeking to bring the love of Jesus Christ to ALL people.
The candidate should be humble and able to work within both a multi-pastor system and a congregational church. We are one of, if not the first, Church in New York to begin a multi-pastor system for Sunday Services. This system is new and innovative. This system is working across the country, building churches, when church attendance is declining.
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Pastor to serve our faith community with enthusiasm and integrity. In this vital role, you will provide spiritual guidance, lead worship services, and offer pastoral care to individuals and families. Your energetic approach will inspire congregation members, foster a welcoming environment, and support the spiritual growth of our community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through teaching, mentoring, and outreach initiatives while balancing flexibility in your schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging worship services, including sermons, prayers, and music coordination to uplift and inspire the congregation.
- Provide bereavement support and Christian counseling to individuals facing life challenges or grief.
- Offer hospice care guidance to families and patients, ensuring compassionate emotional and spiritual support.
- Develop and deliver educational programs, workshops, or seminars on faith topics to foster spiritual development.
- Serve as a mentor and leader within the community by offering guidance, conflict management, and crisis intervention when needed.
- Plan and organize community events, outreach programs, or special services that promote fellowship and spiritual growth.
- Communicate effectively with congregation members through written materials, public speaking engagements, and personal conversations.
