Position Overview:
Is responsible for the evaluation and improvement of quality programs through facilitation and support of the annual strategic planning process for the program, achievement of growth goals for the program, and shared accountability for the achievement of quality, service, and financial performance goals for the program.
The Program Manager IV leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of outreach program activities aligned with strategic priorities. This position partners with external brokers, employers, operational, and executive leaders to expand programs, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. A primary focus is advancing strategic outreach and network development – building and maintaining relationships with external brokers, employer groups, operational, and clinical expertise. The Program Manager IV enhances care coordination and reinforces the health plan as a trusted partner. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, strong written and verbal communication skills.

This position requires medium to high travel throughout Northern California
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health Systems or related field

Master's preferred
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

8 years recent relevant experience

Preferred experience in payor or in a health plan environment

Strong knowledge of broker relations and experience working in this environment

Strong knowledge of broker daily operational structure

Strong knowledge and experience in payor relations

Preferred experience in event planning

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge and understanding of strategic planning, including group facilitation and plan development.

Knowledge and understanding of business plan development, including qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to interact with a wide variety of internal and external customers, including patients, physicians, payors.

Pay Range is $114,774.40 to $172,161.60 / annual salary
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
