Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction
- Load, unload, and secure merchandise using safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques when necessary
- Engage with customers professionally, answer questions about products, and upsell additional items to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain accurate delivery records, route logs, and inventory documentation
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Organize merchandise on delivery vehicles for optimal space utilization and ease of access during deliveries
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and follow safe lifting practices consistently
- Basic math skills for pricing calculations, inventory counts, and route planning
- Experience in customer service or sales roles preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with automobile transportation regulations and DOT compliance standards
- Organizational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently
- Military experience or background is a plus, demonstrating discipline and reliability
